Vegan materials

Animal-free production is important to us. We do not want to contribute to the suffering of animals and the associated impact on our planet just to produce beautiful fashion.

Our bags and accessories are therefore made from animal-free alternatives such as cotton (canvas) and leather-like materials made from sustainable cork, paper latex and premium microfiber. When selecting materials, we make sure that they serve their purpose by being comfortable, durable and better for our environment.

Fair Production

At KURATIST we believe in helping people, for example with fairly paid and permanent employment. When we had the opportunity to source our products from responsible manufacturers in Thailand in 2018, we immediately seized the opportunity.

Since then, we have been working with two family-run companies in production who offer their employees a secure job with a fair salary and treat them with a lot of respect. With your purchase, you are helping to maintain fair jobs.

Returns

Return Policy & Process

We want to make sure you’re completely satisfied with your purchase. If an item doesn’t meet your expectations, you can easily return it. Please follow these steps:

How do I return an item?

1. Log in to your customer account with your email: https://account.kuratist.com

2. Select the order for which you want to request a return.

3. Follow the instructions to choose the items you wish to return.

4. Our customer service team will send you a confirmation email with return instructions.

What do I need to consider?

You can return items within 30 days of receipt.

The item must be in its original condition:

Unused and free from signs of wear.

Not washed or cleaned.

In original packaging with barcode.

Gifts, giveaway items, or promotional products cannot be returned.

How long does processing take?

Once your return request is approved, we will send you a return label via email within 1–2 business days.

After we receive your return at our warehouse, we will inspect the item. As soon as it is restocked, we will process your refund.

Please note that the entire process may take up to 14 days.

Refunds are always issued to the original payment method.

Who covers the return shipping costs?

The return shipping costs are covered by the buyer.

To reduce paper waste, we do not include a return label in our packages. Instead, we will email you the label once your return request is approved.

This approach supports our goal of making shipping more sustainable and keeping returns to a minimum.

Is return shipping free?

When returning products, the buyer bears the return costs out of consideration for the environment. It is important to us to raise awareness of delivery routes and to keep returns as low as possible. We also reduce paper consumption by not enclosing the return label in every package in order to avoid unnecessary waste. Together we are committed to a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution. 💚🌱

Can I exchange an item?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to exchange your products.
However, you have the option of returning your order to us within 30 days of receipt. We will then refund your money and you can place a new order with your desired product.

Payment Methods

PAYPAL

With PayPal, you can pay with the following cards: Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. If you have a PayPal account, you can also pay with your PayPal balance.

To use PayPal, you need to have a PayPal account where you can store your bank or credit card details, as well as your address information. This way, you don't have to enter them again for each online purchase. If you choose PayPal as your payment method, you will be redirected to the PayPal payment processing page, where you log in with your email address and PayPal password. Your PayPal account will be charged with the corresponding amount, and you will receive a transaction confirmation via email. Afterwards, you will be directed back to the order confirmation page of our online shop, and you will receive your personal order confirmation from us via email.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS WITH VISA, MAESTRO, MASTERCARD, OR AMERICAN EXPRESS

In our online shop, you can pay with Visa, Maestro, MasterCard, or American Express.

The required information includes the credit card number, the cardholder's name, and the expiration date of the card. Additionally, we need the 3-digit card verification number, which is located on the back of your credit card. AMEX has a 4-digit verification number on the front.

The shipping and billing information is securely stored on Shopify's PCI servers. Data is processed only upon successful purchase. How does Shopify Pay work, and how secure is the payment? →

SOFORT

Sofort - It can't get more convenient. Sofort is a direct and secure payment method via bank transfer for online shopping. When you select Sofort as your payment method, a window with a secure SSL certificate for data transfer will open, where you enter the requested bank details. This is to establish a connection between Sofort and your bank. The familiar online banking mask will appear. Log in as usual and complete the transfer as usual, confirming the transaction with the TAN. Once this is done, you will receive a payment confirmation via email.

APPLE PAY

With Apple Pay, you can easily and securely pay in our online shop. Apple Pay allows you to check out in our online shop using Safari on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. When you pay for your orders through Apple Pay, you don't have to manually enter your credit card information or shipping address. Simply tap the Apple Pay button and scan your fingerprint. Apple Pay will then provide the relevant information to our secure payment provider, Shopify Payments.

GOOGLE PAY

With Google Pay, you can easily and securely pay in our online shop. When you pay with Google Pay for an order, you don't have to manually enter your credit card information or shipping address. Simply tap the Google Pay button, and Google Pay will provide the relevant information to our secure payment provider, Shopify Payments.

No, our products can only be found online.

All bags are handmade by small family businesses in Thailand.
